Double-pregnant Jessica Pritchard, 31, was in lockdown. In May 2020, she received her second daughter Mia, and just 11 months later, in April, she welcomed triplets. Ritchard, who already has an 8-year-old daughter named Molly, said she and her partner Harry Williams, 34, were “speechless” when they discovered they were expecting triplets, but they felt “extremely lucky and blessed” with their new arrivals. Her triplets Ella, George, and Olivia arrived at birth weighing 2 pounds, 9 ounces, 3 pounds, and 13 ounces, respectively.
Mealtime is fun because they all need to feed at the same time. In addition to taking longer to feed, there are also three diapers to replace one. I just need to be more organized, but I’m a pretty organized person as it is.”
After giving birth to Mia, Pritchard was still on maternity leave when she learned she was expecting again in October 2020.
“At first, the sonographer informed me that I was having twins, which was astonishing in and of itself. However, as she continued to look, she announced that she had discovered a third child. My remarks fell short. It was originally difficult for me to believe. It was still very early, and I didn’t want to break the news to the triplets, so I waited until I returned home to tell Harry that he was with the girls. We consider ourselves really blessed, but even though every pregnancy is a blessing, it was a tremendous shock. We stayed in the hospital for 7 weeks to care for the newborns after they were born at 31 weeks of pregnancy. The doctor eventually sent us back to when things had to his home.
We had everything, and we went home together. Molly adores her siblings and loves having them all around. She was such a kind sister and was always eager to assist, according to Pritchard. Olivia and Ella both weigh 8.11 pounds, but George weighs 10.11 pounds. Things have been going well since the triplets moved in together because I’m normally very normal and they have a pretty good routine. A newborn is a lot of work, but the NHS personnel at Sheffield Hospital’s Jessop Wing made things as simple as possible for us, which gave me peace of mind. They are also extremely considerate and conscious of our busy schedules. They do their best to spend as much time together as they can, despite the fact that they occasionally have needs to make things simpler. Different, this has changed everything.
